Chung Hwa Pulp has long committed to the three core pillars of ESG and was honored in 2025 with dual recognition in the “Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA),” receiving both the Silver Award for Sustainability Reporting and the Top 100 Sustainable Corporations Award. These accolades highlight the company’s steadfast commitment and tangible achievements in sustainable governance, low-carbon energy transition, and social responsibility.

Rooted in forest fibers and agricultural by-products, Chung Hwa Pulp has developed a green manufacturing model centered on biogenic carbon. The company proactively adopts renewable energy and carbon-reduction technologies—including Taiwan’s only lignin-based biomass energy generation and solar photovoltaic systems—achieving over 45% of total energy use from renewables in 2024. It also became the first in Taiwan’s paper industry to attain both the ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint certification and the ISO 13065 Sustainable Biomass Power certification, setting a new benchmark for low-carbon transformation in the pulp and paper sector.

In addition to energy innovation, Chung Hwa Pulp has invested heavily in green procurement and sustainable material R&D, surpassing NT$4.5 billion in green purchasing and dedicating NT$163 million to the development of eco-friendly packaging and fiber-based materials. These efforts drive supply chain transformation and diversified applications, reinforcing harmony between the company and the environment.

The recognition through these two TCSA awards affirms Chung Hwa Pulp’s solid progress on its sustainability journey and marks another important milestone in fulfilling its corporate vision: “Harvest from the forest, give back to society.” The company will continue building a resilient, sustainable future for the next generation.
