Paper Art Aesthetics and Sustainable Thinking: A Summer Dialogue! Chung Hwa Pulp Sponsors Kaohsiung Public Library’s "Paper for Your Eyes Only" Summer Camp

To promote paper art culture and implement environmental sustainability education, Chung Hwa Pulp Corporation (CHP) has long supported local arts and environmental education, partnering with the Kaohsiung Public Library consecutively since 2022. This year’s "Paper for Your Eyes Only" summer camp kicked off lively at the Dashu Branch II, where the first day (Day 1) attracted a large number of eager students to explore the life cycle and recycling value of paper through hands-on experiences.

Hands-on Creativity: Handmade Paper Lectures and Pulp Molding Practice

The first day's curriculum was rich and engaging, covering "handmade paper lectures and production" as well as "pulp molding lectures and practice." The courses included making cascading acacia (golden shower tree) postcards, bookmarks, and creative pulp-molded keychains, alongside more challenging, practical, and aesthetically pleasing "pulp-molded piggy bank" designs and creations. Through these activities, students not only experienced the magical transformation from pulp to finished products firsthand but also deeply appreciated that resources are hard-earned and understood the true meaning of recycling and environmental protection.

Chung Hwa Pulp Deepens Sustainable Education: Rooting Green Circulation in the Next Generation

As a leader in sustainable papermaking in Taiwan, Chung Hwa Pulp has long upheld the corporate social responsibility of "green manufacturing and cultivating local talent." CHP stated that paper is not only an essential medium for human civilization and the transmission of knowledge, but modern papermaking also shoulders the mission of protecting forests and promoting a circular economy. CHP is honored to support the Kaohsiung Public Library for consecutive years, hoping to accompany children in integrating environmental protection thinking into their daily lives through entertaining paper art crafting, thereby cultivating future generations of talent equipped with both aesthetic literacy and environmental awareness in Taiwan.
