At the Ministry of Environment’s Green Procurement Awards ceremony on September 23, Chung Hwa Pulp Corporation (CHP) received recognition for the 13th time and ranked among the top three in the large manufacturer category. CHP’s green procurement totaled NT$4.6 billion in 2025, covering sustainably certified raw materials and investments in renewable energy equipment.

Wood chips are a major part of CHP’s green procurement. Guided by its Biodiversity and No Deforestation Commitment, CHP prioritizes raw materials certified under international standards such as FSC and PEFC. In 2025, certified wood chips and pulp accounted for 77% of its purchases in these categories. CHP also became a TNFD Adopter this year and continues to strengthen its management of nature-related issues.

Working with partners across its value chain, CHP develops fiber-based products that meet environmental standards. Green products accounted for 42.6% of sales in 2025. These include recycled copy paper, recycled book and card paper, gray-backed coated board, paper tube board, and PFAS-free greaseproof paper for food packaging that is fully recyclable.

CHP will continue to put green procurement into practice through its choice of raw materials, equipment investments, and product development, while advancing resource circularity and its low-carbon transition.
